Mortgage Scam Alert: Beware of home loan rescue scams. Facing the possibility of not being able to make your mortgage payments is an unsettling time. Unfortunately, con artists often attempt to take advantage of vulnerable homeowners and may try deceptive scams where they pretend to represent Community Loan Servicing, LLC (“Community”), and allege to have your best interest in mind. You should know that loss mitigation options and counseling do not require fees when working directly with Community or a HUD-Approved housing counselor.
